Feline Pine Litter: The Best for your Cat

An indoor feces and urine disposal box that is used for cats is called litter box.

Other words that are used for litter box are cat box, litter pan, litter tray or sand box. You can also use a cat litter box for rabbits or other pets if they are able to use it after being properly trained.

Cats prefer easy dug materials to pass the feces or urine on. Sand is usually the preference. In case of a litter box, the filler comprises of soft granular material to make the pet feel comfortable.

This loose material is able to absorb the odors and moisture. An inch or more of the box is filled with this material. The commonly used filler materials are clay, silicon based crystals, and recycled paper pallets.

Feline pine litter comprises of small pine pallets. These small pine pallets keep the surroundings odor free by absorbing the odors and the moisture. They also keep the litter box free of every type of odors.

The biggest advantage of the feline pine litter is less consumption. As compared to other cat litters, an inch of feline pine litter in the litter box is enough. It is better to train the vat to get adjusted to this amount.

After absorbing the cat’s urine the pellets of the feline pine litter expand and break into sawdust so there are no clumps to throw away. Though the solid waste has to be thrown out but it will be odorless.

Once all the pellets of the feline pine litter are broken into sawdust, you have to change the litter. It is also recommended that when you start using this litter, fill just an inch of the litter box with this litter and cover the top three inches with the old litter and let the cat mix the litters.
